This packaging design project required us to choose a type of canned food and design an identity and packaging for three different flavors. I chose tuna, and developed a brand called The Salty Dog. I designed the top, wrap-around, and bottom labels of the cans for each flavor in a way that allows the design to interact when the cans are stacked. Since most tuna brands in my competition audit seem to lean into either a high-end or old-school style, I wanted The Salty Dog to be positioned as a modern but mid-price product that would intrigue shoppers at both ends of the price range.
